our handbook

Hello and welcome! We are Jen and Dustin. Self proclaimed project people. Fondly dubbed picky people by our parents. We both have a penchant for starting projects we love and occasionally bouncing to another too enticing to ignore. We started this blog with plans of documenting our projects, travels, and a few other things in between. Oh- and maybe force a little accountability onto ourselves to help finish such projects.

Our Handbook is a collection of stories, whether short and sweet, novel-y, helpful, or random, but important to us nonetheless. This is our little space- a digital scrapbook if you will- to recollect on any and all of our happenings in the mitten state, hence “our handbook”.

JEN

I grew up with a glue gun in my hand and figure skates on my feet. I come from a family with a variety of creative backgrounds and I'd like to think, they've passed along some pretty great genes. I went to school for graphic design and am currently an assistant director of creative and production at my alma mater. One of my favorites quotes is by designer, Jessi Arrington, "I think the biggest design project anyone can have is their own life." And that (along with "start where you are, with what you have, do what you can") is where this blog begins.

DUSTIN

Dustin has been in love with Volkswagens since before he knew what they were. He is ambitious and is strong-willed when he sets his mind on something. Such endeavors usually focus on anything automotive related, but he's since been diving into woodworking and any and all house projects. He's the positive yin to my realistic yang.

MOO

Resident curmudgeon and furry bully. Wants to be in the center of it all, but have no one around. He's super cute though, so we keep him.
